General

ISK is the main currency of EVE Online and is used right across the universe.

The main purpose for ISK is to buy ships, items, equiptment and (on very rare occasions) space stations.

Earning ISK

ISK is earned in lots of different ways, as explained below:

Mining

ISK can be earned by mining asteroids and either refining the Veldspar obtained from the asteroids or seeling it in it's raw state, both earn quite a bit of ISK.

Agent Missions

ISK can also be earned by completing missions for agents. The difficulty of the missions is very low at the beginning of the game, which earns low ISK. As the game progresses, the difficulty of the missions increases and so does the payout of ISK for completing it.

Bounty Missions

Bounties are placed on other players for many millions (or maybe billions) of ISK and is one of the fastest ways to gain ISK if you are at a high level. Be careful though, if you go and become a bounty hunter, other people can place a bounty on your head!
